    Roar trip northisland recomendations with grandad

    Howsit everyone was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations of places for a roar hunting with my 80 year old grandad who is still very fit and able based in the waikato thanks heaps

    Heaps of Deer in the Ureweras. Pick a hut that's been burnt down and fly in, then walk another hour or so. Central Waiau or Waiawa are 2 options.

    Another option is to get Richard White to drop you off somewhere along the Waikaremoana road or the back of Whites clearing.

    Thats a good option have used Richard a few times, and he will look after your car as well for a small fee

    Have you considered National Park? Southern corridor can be profitable but I imagine will be chockas for the next few weeks.
