    I will be heading up that same route tomorrow for a night will let you know what we see . I'm local to this area but haven't been up there since after last roar . Been too busy . But I've heard the deer have been out on tops for a while . It's beautiful up there on a nice day . Here's a pic of last time

    Just got back from an over night trip, walked the entire loop from rangi hut to deadmans and stayed the night by the tarns, saw very little but here are some pictures.

    Hey silent spectre I ran in to you at car park haha .so when you say saw very little you saw at least something . We saw nothing was a shame but better then being on the couch like you guys said . I didn't realise so many hunters went up there no wonder it's hard to find a deer up there . My dog got 2 hares that's about all. At least he got a feed from it .

    There was one sighted on the Rangi hut side across from the tarns but having just walked from that way and not wanting to put another 4km in for the recover was best just to leave it. we ran into another couple of hunters on the way out also
