If you hunt sensibly into the wind, and get to understand its vagaries you are well on the way to ticking off the human scent thing.

To be a successful hunter (bow or rifle) I would rate disguising or eliminating human scent well down the must do ladder.

Far more important is understanding your quarry and getting to know the area you hunt. Twelve pages on understanding the habits of deer would add far greater value than fretting and arguing about body odour.

My journey has never been negligence of the playing the wind right ..what it has been if I am playing the wind and it changes all of a sudden I want to be able to at least disguise my scent enough to still give myself a chance ..that is all ..I will post a picture of 2 New Zealand deer habit hunting books I purchased in order to understand what I am to do when hunting deer species ..I am sure these books maybe familiar to some I am not sure

I read many dog eared "Man" magazines and looked at a bit of soft porn prior to my first shag. But I was still pretty damned pathetic on the night. More experience though made me a lot better at it Books can only take you so far.

Absolutely ..but a person who is green and never been taught or brought up in the bush is a silly man not to respect it as well ..these gave me guide lines on what to look out for so I had something to apply to when I did go bush and tried to implement the knowledge they were trying to pass on ..send a man out into the bush alone with no knowledge is a dangerous prospect ..cheers for the comment
