Cant help myself.... What is it with this tool @7mmwsm hit the nail on the head, he's come on here spoiling for a fight and this is not what the forum is about... If he had anything constructive to say he would have made a few posts on other threads instead. All he has done is come off looking like a wanker

Any resources you chaps could point me towards regarding understanding the wind.
I went out yesterday arvo/evening and played it pretty well.
I think when it's coming from the north it seems a bit more predictable.

    Also here's a question(maybe stupid)
Is have a ziggy a decent way to see what the wind is doing?

Lighter works ok. Some guys tie a piece of cotton to their barrel etc. smoke is a good indicator but makes long walks harder

I have heard of cotton tied to the barrel.
    Might give it a shot.

Am I right in thinking no harm having a zig (smell wise&#128549
if they can smell my smoke they can smell me anyway?

To wear Blaze or not, that is the six million dollar question. If that doesn't start a sh** fight, just ask what calibre to get for Deer hunting

Cool. I generally avoid having one as can make me cough.
But I couldn't help myself after sitting down for a feed last night,
    And it got me thinking.
By the way, I took the butt out with me, can't stand litter in the bush no matter how small.

fine ash from fireplace works well.

small puffer bottle with powder or ash works .
