Are you pushing buttons for a laugh or are you just dick?
go back and read your comments.

I have only smashed over goats ?( do you eat the goats you SMASH over ?)
No dogs for me I track for myself
do you have any idea the time and patience it takes to get a deer dog up to a level of hunting with you let alone getting one to a point where they will take you in on a animal?
A lot of us have deer dogs and most of us including myself will never get the first one up to a standard where they lead you in to a deer.
Never shot a deer but you are mocking bush hunters who do ?
If you had any real hunting experience in Bush stalking you would know that most deer shot this way are very close.
somebody gives advice and all you can reply is OH you need to bow hunt as if bow hunters are God like hunters.
Some are but they have done more than smash over a handful of goats which by the way I shoot the odd goat and take the meat but do not find it satisfying as there is not much skill involved.
sorry fellas if I sound like a dick now but this bloke is just stirring the pot for the sake of it.
    Love walking my gun

As a newbie hunter (your words), and as someone yet to shoot a deer but seeing them. Rather then bag guys here that are helping or offering to give advice you could actually ask for guidance or even to tag along with someone to help you get within range of getting a deer with your bow.
There are a ton of TOP blokes and girls on here more then willing to help in anyway. We all enjoy a bit of banter and piss taking but nothing more serious then that.

I get the distinct impression that Kiwininja doesn't want advice from anybody. He already knows it all.
I believe Kiwininja is in fact a Pokémon cartoon character. What does that tell us

    Hey mate

I wouldn't be too worried about scent control too much. Main thing is to hunt into wind as best you can. Or of you get to a good spot get into a place where the wind favours you.
In my mind, Deer spend all their lives in the bush and generally in a certain area. Any new smell will spook them.
Doesn't matter if its human or some strange applied "scent". Get the wind wrong (and sometimes no matter what you do you will) and they will smell you and spook.
Wind is like water in a river. In the hills it flows and turns and twists and does some strange things. But you do what you can to stalk into it.

Dude. Be humble and have some respect.
Your not impressing anyone with that attitude and your certainly not going to learn much.

Actually the dogs were reference to pig hunters more than deer hunters ..a pig hunter without a dog is not a pig hunter ..

Bullshit to that last comment. Plenty of hunters choose to shoot pigs rather than use dogs.
