Just say the cops changed the min spec so one no longer complies and as such no one would buy the old one but you still need the new one.

I'm assembling two identical target rifles, same action + stock + barrel + scope + bipod. They will be identical. As long as both aren't seen together we're sweet.
If she does see both then I'll just question her eyesight &/or her memory.
Now just to hide the duplicate invoices.

My cook never says a word as long as she gets a shot with anything new she's happy.
I don't have a huge number and dont own any safe queens. I use all my firearms regularly.
The AR aside, having 1 modular centerfire rifle keeps the safe looking organised and uncluttered.
