Spent a quite evening on boxing day, learning what a 300 Blackout will do to hares and Rabbits. Using Factory Ammo at the moment as dies have not yet arrived. Subsonic only good out to about 100m, but supersonic, 250-300m makes a big mess.Name: work folder 065.jpg

Well done BB58. I agree with VC, that is a sweet little rifle.

    First Chamois.

    Attachment 5874

Spotted from the valley floor and shot at a distance of 210 meters after a steep climb. Then one and a quarter hours to reach the animal!

Rifle in the picture is pointing to where he was shot between the two areas of shadow.

If its where I am looking, I can see why it would be hard. Good work congrats on the first chamois.

Ok so this isn't technically hunting, but it is a success. I took the family fishing at the Tangi river mouth. I didn't get anything but my wife caught a nice Kahawai and my daughter caught a baby shark.

Now they keep asking to go fishing again!!!!! And my 'hobby' time increases!
