I came across two dead sika in the kawekas once during a three day hunt around the middle hill area. One next to a creek, mouth wide open. And the other with its head in the creek. Less than ideal.

I understand that blood and bone is used as deer repellent, which attracts the pigs which pisses off the pig hunters.

Waikaia bush is getting a drop. The place is absolutely crawling with deer. Be a real shame if it knocks the hunting around there.. I for one think there must be a better way.

That's a good example of an area that really dosnt need a chopper its pretty easy to get around not mountainous or inaccessible hopefully they use repellant ...was watching the news a few days ago they seem to be pushing the 1080 for the rats n mice seemly the "beach mast " is on the way
