Looks like there will be Green Rain falling over the North Eastern Ruahine this spring.
Pesticide summaries: Animal pests
The reason given is a Mast event targeting predators under the Battle for our Birds banner.

Arguing with an Engineer is like Wrestling a Pig in Mud.
After awhile you realise the Pig loves it.
Bastards!! All the work of volunteers checking, carrying in and resetting traps...and they take this route!! - What evidence of pest numbers are they basing their green rain on?
Congratulations welcome to our world......
Not being a shit, but I still remember when the Northerners really couldn't give a toss about 1080 because it wasn't in "their back yard"

Been in my back yard for many years.
One of the first drops ever in the 60's was NI, Urewera's.
I was in the south-eastern Ruahines yesterday, an area that to the best of my knowledge has never received any 1080, and the number of birds was surprising, hundreds of them: silvereye, fantail, kereru, bellbird, tui, greywarbler, karearea - I've never seen so many at one time before (inc in the Tararuas). Nothing in my stoat trap either.
God bless you for trapping stoats good on ya
Love how they poison at the worst time of year to use poison....and are allowed to.
Nice targeting the birdies again.Cowardly Fuckers .
