    probably only just enough ft/lbs at that range must've been running towards you that would give you an extra flt/lb or 2

    Unsure?? I let one walk that looked similar last year so wondering if it's genetic. Anyway, he's in the freezer now, was nice and fat aswell.

    It was lucky he was that close as I noticed a couple of hours earlier that I had snapped my rear scope ring, so I taped it up and kept hunting. Not sure it would have been any good much further out.

    A big old character public land Ruahine Red 8 pointer I shot with my mate Devon @ 4 meters!

    I rough measured it at 39" long on the good side (35" on weak) x 37" spread. (i don't know how to measure it but wanted to give some scale)
    He had a bloody big body compared to the other stags we shot on the trip.

    Not a monster like some of you guys are getting but due to bloody COVID I only managed a 1.5 to 2 hour walk down carterton and got lucky on this 11 pointer.
