Hard work in the wind this morning, cold and loud.
Tracked him down the old battler holding a heap of hinds in the native.

One from this morning, kept the cape for a mate to use.
A dirty old 8. wasn't very sporting of me, shot him at 670m to test the eldms as I've just changed to them. Stood for 3 seconds then croaked it.
One a day. How long can you keep this up?

I'm having the weekend off stags to chase hogs so nothing till next week unfortunately
Shot the top stag this morning been after it for over a month.
My son has had bolt closed on him twice for him to walk off or go behind a tree. Unfortunately son didn't come this morning. Seen him couple times in Velvet. Older stag maybe 8ish in very poor condition been working very hard. took the cape from him.
Quick measure 40inch long 38 wide

thats the 2nd 12 with the double tops we have seen on here in last few years...very nice stags, both of them, that botton stag doesnt look shabby at all either, would be very proud of that one indeed.
75/15/10 black powder matters
Bigbear that bottom stag is an absolute ripper!
Nice stag in lower photo.
Well done.
Good work @bigbear, i know the effort you put in to the top one was massive, well earnt.
@hebe is right first seen this on 1st JAN. Hes been living in a little native block and coming out on to the grass. As i said i have tried my hardest to get this stag for my son. The last couple weeks i tracked him down to see him in a broken bush gully over the boundary fence and given up on seeing him again. Been in there for a couple of weeks with a heap of hinds. This morning i went out that way and happen to be pushed back in to our place.
Had a good sleep in the chair after lunch
