    about 1.5ks back from farmedge, patches of gorse scattered in pockets further back, that place has every prickly bastard tree in NZ waiting for ya if ya take the wrong ridge back to the farm, a delightful mix of 4m high blackberry, with hawthorn hedge + gorse thrown in to top off .... the rusa love the blackberry

    You forgot to mention the stinging nettle, especially bad up the northern end around the Ohutu.

    Went out last weekend for some Pre Roar exercise, hiked into some popular North Canty public land for a couple nights, only saw 2 deer out in the open so spent a morning bush stalking and got this fella at 20m, fat as and no sign of starting to rut up, had a mate with him that crashed off at the shot but didn’t see him.
