It`s not only the deer, I had a hell of a job trying to stop a possum from eating my deer when I was down there a few years back on S I, a dose of .3030 fixed his carnivore habit, so they eat meat/ birds and eggs. Have to be careful when you camp and sleep for the night that's for sure.

There is no evidence of deer being anywhere near a nest since the incident in 2013 so your comment appears to be speculation. You will note that DOC already have black backed gulls in sight as predators to go with the other known predator being hawks.

Numbers are from someone that would know, speculation on my part from hearing the story first hand, didnt ask about dates that it happened
