that I think is more to do with being eligible for the glenaire ballot once you have joined as people where trying to join just for the ballot and not going to meetings.

Hi , last I spoke to the nzda about it was around 2 years ago , the impression I got was I couldn't just join as I said to the bloke that I was a member long ago but he said id likely have to still turn up 4 times and be nominated so that was the last of my inquires . Il look into it again or another alternative I think its important to have some official numbers behind us , for example there are probably more loyal NZHS members than voted for the green party !! but unless we can stick it to them via an official club or what have you our voices are harder to hear .
