    Awesome thread - great trophies and stunning pictures!

    You might know this one from the other thread but it fits here as well.


    Didn't measure exactly but definately over 13 inch. Beginner's luck.

    Few years ago this one , I’m glad we have advanced from the old swanny in hunting clothing.

    Nearly stood on this young fella couple years ago ,he was tucked up in the tussock when you zoom in on his eyes it’s got conjunctivitis or something .

    Pink eye, like sheep get. Pretty common in tahr for some reason
    I'm drawn to the mountains and the bush, it's where life is clear, where the world makes the most sense.

    @JoshC Does it heal up on its own or do they go blind ?

    Heals. The eye can even rupture and still come right (I think @ethos?)

    I’ve no specific knowledge in this case but I’m sure it can depending on severity as in other species.

    No big trophies here but my first Buck and Bull taken on the same trip, up the Karangarua in 2018. No expert but the Bull looked to be 7-8yo?
