No big trophies here but my first Buck and Bull taken on the same trip, up the Karangarua in 2018. No expert but the Bull looked to be 7-8yo?

One of my favourite photos, sharing the experience with your best mates -- what it's all about I think

Heals. The eye can even rupture and still come right (I think @ethos?)

I can't seem to find my tahr hunting photos on the computer, but here is a video I made from a tahr hunt with my Dad a few years ago

I’ve no specific knowledge in this case but I’m sure it can depending on severity as in other species.

TheRe was a lot of pink eye on the coast in thar and chamois about 8-9 years ago, my uncle was hunting them hard out then he seemed to think it was brought fro animals hanging out with the sheep on the east coast and then bringing back over with them

Have been stalking this forum for a few years from across the ditch, but never really had anything useful to post, but thought i would whack a couple of pics up in this thread. Have spent a couple of trips trying to take a whitetail from the Dart/Reese valleys with no success in the early 2000's apart from a couple of sightings of doe's waving there tails at me as they were doing the bolt.
Gave up on that and moved my sights to Tahr and Chamois in 2018 after a few trips in the Austrian alps got me keen on Chamois.
Glad i did, as had a bit more luck with them.

Tahr went 14 1/8 on one side, 13 3/4 on the other with 10 1/4 inch bases
Chamois was a touch over 9 on both sides.
Hoping the Rona restrictions wont be forever and we can all get back on with the finer things in life in the future.
    Happy hunting
