    Firstly, yes, I do have allied post graduate quals to what you suggest. And do write and teach as you suggest.

    Secondly, ordinary advice such as what I offered was for ordinary and near ordinary people. Not for people with an un - diagnosed or diagnosed debilitating illness. They mostly lack the self awareness to take such advice. You know this.

    Many ordinary (and near ordinary people) could try a lot harder.

    Point taken not sure what advice I was given I guess been on the autistic spectrum with a very near life ending head injury when I was a boy has made me very slow on the uptake one things for sure I will never be a arse kisser and I never ask for help never have never will

    You are not stupid you are smart and articulate so don't use autism as an excuse for poor manners, it doesn't wash. As you like, plain honest talk.
    Nearly everyone has some problem or life changing event along the way to deal with. Your autism is small fry compared to the problems some have to surmount.
    If you 'never ask for help never have never will' then you will never have friends. I expect my friends to ask me for help because I know that they will be there to help me.
