Thread: Te U (kaharoa) Matahi Valley

Has anyone on here been to this area before? A mate and I are flying into this hut(hopefully&#129310 in April and bot of us have not been here before, it does look like a long walk in from the matahi Valley side, and it looks f$%kin steep, my boss and his father used to hunt around that area many many roars ago and has told me not to expect wall hangers but said there are plenty of animals around, just wanting to know if any of you Good buggers have been in or around this area and could help me out with a lil insight to the area.

I walked in there years ago, at that point the hut was in great condition and well looked after.
Shot a deer in the creek, like anywhere in that area I wouldn't expect trophies however good animal numbers so you'll have alot of fun.
