Things are getting hot in the Urewera Country. As many have said they bet your everyday Tuhoe are not happy with TUT/DOC and the huts destruction/removal.

So good to see that so many Tuhoe are on the same page as us.
That’s a better reflection of the people I’ve met in there.
Real down to earth people that just want to be left alone to do there thing.

Pretty much a snapshot of life here in NZ at the moment: Unelected officials chasing ethereal fantasy filled policies whilst the vast majority of practical just-leave-me-to-do-my-thing-as-long-as-it-doesn't-hurt-anyone-else folk get trampled upon.

This is just unbelievable, I am utterly disgusted , who could believe 20 years ago a thing could this could happen , maybe a bit off topic but this this and all the Māori language crap has just gone to the next level , saw a school certificate yesterday that the only non Māori word was his name , WTF is going on , this country is in a very bad state of affairs . The back country life is changing before our very eyes

yeah who would have thought the most aggressive and fighty Iwi out there that are known for burning out trucks and threatening people wouldnt run things in a way that suits anyone but themselves

Does anyone know what huts have already been burned down😭😭

Just got back from long weekend hunting trip there. Right Branch, Casino and Takarua burned down Duckville still there. Beyond that not sure.

Heard poto on radio this afternoon,wouldn’t give yes or no answer ,just swerved all the questions..typical political dribble.

The potato “interview “ was a waste of oxygen, despite HDPA doing her best to get straight answers. Potato accused HDPA of lying “no huts have been burnt down, that’s a lie. They have been dismantled and taken away” according to minister responsible for DOC. Disgusting
