Disappointing to hear. I was planning a trip in there soon... guess I'd better go for Plan B.
Anything on the DOC website?
I heard that the contractor is someone I have seen speaking against 1080 in his hunting videos in the past... amazing how people can change their tune when a bit of money is waved under their nose

Dissapointing Timaru creek has always been a producer for me! either Fly fishing in August from the bridge down with deep nymphed bright orange glow bugs lost count at 40 in 6 hours - catch and release (before my finger almost dropped off with the cold) and we drove back to Wanaka for a warm up...
Hunting wise was always good for a few good reds and Cham up the upper basins and beech forested areas...
Sad

Save our Tahr. They belong in the southern alps.
I won't watch his movies ever again. He took the $$ and screwed the pooch.
