Time for a change in luck

Just about to set off for a few days up the high country with a few lads chasing those pesky sambar.
Been a shit of a day, dog chased a roo yesty arvo and copped a whack to the chest. vets thought he had a collapsed lung and were talking over puttin him down but luckily another one had a look and its far less serious.
And after last weeks luck I reckon I'm due for a good turn! Hopefully have a story to report on Tuesday night!!!

Got one! shot this hind 150m across valley running in the head. Unlucky deer but awesome trip. Saw a big 25" stag in the spotty standing 25m away while we were chasing bunnies but couldn't find him during the day. also saw a wild dog which was awesome!!!

Well done Jack. what is that white stuff on the ground in the first photo?

If that is cocaine then there is a drug cartel in Mexico looking for you.

Some of the hunting crew. On hunting trips we have different names (cause we are tools and we use radios with non locked channels). This is Ballan, Stumpy and me (Marshall)

the pup Stumpy is holding was four months old and a little cracker, she kept up with us the whole trip and loved every minute of it. But the day after we got home she was ran over the poor bugger.

Sorry to hear about the pup Jack. Mate you are more barmy than a south islander hunting in the snow because you have to go find it in the first place whereas the SI guys just have to walk outside.

Good stuff. In Aus is it like it is in NZ where you have a whole bunch of public land to hunt for free and you pay for private (unless you know the guy or own the land)? I was asked the other day by my mate but I didn't know. Also noticed you are wearing blaze to other hunters around must be public?
    Yeah nah bro
