I had to skip on the trip due to uni exam work but my mates still went. Just talked to one of them and he came off the quad on Saturday, bank collapsed beneath him, and the quad rolled onto him and he busted his hip. Ripped the epirb and they choppered him out. His hip isn't broken but he's still in hospital at the moment. He doesn't post much but his username is Brycey on here.

I'm allowed to laugh at the bastard because he wasn't seriously hurt
    Yeah nah bro

Is Brycey OK Phillip? Wouldn't like to think he isn't smiling.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Yup he's all good, no fracturing and he'll be up and running in not too long. From what he's told me they were very lucky the way it panned out. His mate was riding on the back and the bank gave way into the water. The quad tumbled throwing them both into the river and actually had his mate pinned but he could get his head above the water so didnt drown.

Bloody hell that sounds as though it could have been a whole lot worse
