Thread: Tophouse Road Closure, Hanmer

We just got back from sedgmere today, and there are no washouts on the road and haven't been any since Christmas time. No snow on Island saddle at all, the only problem with the road is all the potholes and corrugations. Unless there's some pretty bad weather you'll get in there no problem.
There is also no sign or anything to say that the road is closed at the St James homestead

Was planning on going for a drive 'Over the back' this afternoon but ran out of time

Have just seen a few pictures from the top of Jack's pass, doesn't look like you'll make it over Island saddle at the moment, a bit more snow and strong winds forecast for the next couple of days. Sunday and Monday looking good at this stage and maybe enough snow will melt by then

Yep I sent through a couple of photos of the low snow taken from my deck, I'm around Hanmer all weekend so will keep an eye on snow levels. Weather isn't looking great though with the wind.
