    Is anyone out there still doing the old style punch skinning and tacking out on drying boards the reason I ask is that for really good skins there is a market

    I would happily head into the Urewera's for good skins, unfortunately theres a no commercial activity thing going on... so thats a no go.

    Are you over those ways trapperjohn? I havent been into the Ureweras for about 10 years, used to go couple times a year. Sounds like all the huts are gone now? And no pest control/track maintenance etc going on?
