Thread: Tree bark peeled off question

    Funny, I saw something had chewed into a tree to reveal bright red wood in the kaimais today. It certainly caught my attention.

    I used to stay right out in the sounds for the week for work, used to take the dog. Forgot her tux's one time I said "righto poochy you gota hunt to eat otherwise its 2min noodles"

    Only saw a hare, fastest I've ever seen her run, nailed it tho

    yea iv taken just rice rissoto and brown rice as a packer on a 5 day hunt so I was motivated to shoot some meat for variety.
    it was a loooong week of just risotto watered down with brown rice

    specially when the other hut inhabitants had beer and bacon.

    My bet is its deer, a couple of the spots I hunt have a heap of trees with bark peeled/chewed off like this. Both spots I have never seen or heard goats. We also have trail cams up in one of the spots, and have only captured pics/video of deer and pigs, no goats.
