As soon as we can fly and the weather matches up I'm itching to get into a bull thar or 2 with a local fella that wants to get a bull before he cant hunt anymore due to age and health.

Also might have an esteemed forum member joining us, to get what I assume is his first Bull. So really looking forward to that.....for now at least
If for some reason we are allowed out but businesses cant operate I have a solo mission I have been meaning to do for ages to look for a stag I seen a while ago out of a machine.
He may or may not be there, but hopefully his genes are.
I estimate 4 days of just getting there and back if I was fit, so it may have to be a longer trip than anticipated after this lockdown is finished

Still have a private block booked over on the coast to take my old man out for some venison or pork in late May. So staying hopeful for that one.

Want to get up to some tops either Murchison or Westland way for first Chamois.

And find time somewhere to get onto some goats. Have a couple sausage recipes to try out and I love a good nanny.

I've had a few trips cancelled and but hopefully can go ahead with these planned trips:
May - Central North Island stags
    June - West Coast Tahr
    July - Otago Chamois
Oct - Elk, deer and pronghorn etc in Wyoming and Idaho.

Mainland east coast after stags. Long planned and often postponed trip after a good stag spotted a couple of months ago.

Looks like there is a lot being planned. The first day the lockdown is lifted is going to be a very bad day for the deer

Hopefully things with the virus are tracking better than thought an everyone gets to go out and play or back to work on the 22nd.

Heard that some districts may be dropped a level before others for obvious reasons. However level 3 if that is what is dropped to, it is said will have stricter restrictions than before.
It wouldnt surprise me if they try to continue to stop outdoor activities under level 3. Long distance travel will still be definitely restricted imo. I know the coast want to remain shut to outside visitors.
