I think they do a lot of tree stand hunting, so as long as you can get to a seat in a blind you’ll be good to go.

In England and Wales shooting deer from a moving vehicle is prohibited, the vehicle must be stationary with the engine turned off. The situation in Scotland may be different, there are a number of differences between the respective deer acts. As stated a lot of deer shooting is carried out from high seats mainly for safety reasons on this crowded little island. Where it is safe to do so stalking (hunting) on foot is common.

If you find the right stalker you might be able to give it a go.
So long as you don't shoot a gold medal buck it's not that expensive too.

Year not mine but I've seen almost as big here in a Berkshire.
Was at a dinner and the home owner was shouting at it as it was munching his shrubs
His son picked it off a few weeks later.
    Was very big

    Looks like an interesting head.

I take it there's no public land like we have here in NZ?

There's lots of "public land", but you're not allowed to hunt on it.

It's an been populated for a few thousand years. So all land is owned.
That said deer numbers are higher than the last thousand years. In fact have double since 99

I manage a grade two listed property within a 100meters from where I live. The Muntjac are always in there eating the apples and roses.
See them at night in the neighbours garden doing the same.
We also have Roe and Fallow in residence. So there is plenty of scope. You just need to get in with a good stalker.
Your get lucky with a land owner. Most stalkers don't like to shoot Muntjac as you get feck all for the effort from the game dealers.
You also need to have a DS2 to sell to a game dealer as it goes into the food chain. This is not a bad course as it shows you how to pick up the diseases that they sometimes carry.
Speaking of which tics are the biggest danger. They carry limes disease, which once you have will be with you for life. It's a bitch of a thing too have loads of side effects nun of them good
