    Urchin track snow damage

I went for a walk up the Urchin track yesterday. Quite a bit of snow damage.

Youngest son up there, 30 years ago:

Brings back a few memories, use to hunt round there a lot back in the early 90's.

From the weekend after that massive snow dump.
Walked over the Urchin and into Waipakihi on Thursday night.

Wayyyyy too early. Zero sign. More of a stretch the legs day instead of a hunt.

I found the place to be already cold enough for me during the roar season in the past, I can't imagine how cold the nights would be at this time of year! Good on you guys.

Had three whistle at me and bumped one in the bush. Very noisy moving around in the snow.
