    Harry Max ; Lake Creek is pretty baron , animal wise , Cotters has plenty of cover for a giant to lurk in , but the prevailing wind blows down these particular valleys all day and night , so it makes it difficult to choose a camp site.

    I have cotters for 4th period looks Like some mean country anyone have any info on it? Any history of it would be much appreciated Is there many chamoi around that area ? Thanks

    Heck, yeah it looks like amazing country but I've not been hearing very good things about the numbers at all.... harassment by heli operators etc

    Appreciate the info mate. Did you end up having it for a roar period previously or have you just hunted it in general?

    its new zealand mannn.... there would be a chammy or redskin kicken arond somewhere, maybe not in such numbers but they can pop up in any public lands at any time.

    Was just browsing this forum and it seem we both appear to have the same block for the same period this coming April. Block 31 Cotters! 4 period hmmm interesting!

    They are different blocks mate. Block 31 is 'Cotters' up dingle burn. Block 38 is 'Cotters creek' up the Hunter

    Random question here....

    There is not a ton of information on some of these blocks - Is it bad form/edict to share information about them on this forum/online?

    Personally I don't expect to hunt that block again and would tend towards wanting to share information so folks have some more info to work with in future.

    I have just been successful with Block 38 - Cotters Creek for the 2024 roar period. I've never been in there, but appreciate any comments or information from anyone familiar with the block. thanks Shannon

    Hi all - I was successful with Block 38 - Cotters Creek (Hunter valley) for the 2024 Roar period. I've never been into Cotters Creek - appreciate any tips or info that anyone can share ??? thanks, Shannon

    No Wanaka block for me. That's 3 misses - Wanaka, Tahr and Wapiti.

    pretty sure old mate had it for 2023, an you got it for 2024... could be wrong though, as this thread is old.
