We hunted in there a maybe 10 years ago though were pretty green at the time. Flew in which was cheap due to the short flight. The foot access is significantly worse than it looks, there's a bit of a track on the true left if you're really keen.

We saw and heard zero and only saw minimal sign mostly around the flat below Pt. 1326. We had quite a bit of rain which made the main creek uncrossable and limited our movement significantly. Really cool area that I suspect gets almost zero foot traffic.

I haven't put in for it again.

I got Kitchener first period, wasn't my first choice.

We'll definitely go in for a look and have a bit of a plan of attack but if anyone has any info on the block, I'd appreciate it.

I think some of the Makarora blocks are going to be delt to with 1080 over the roar period from what we are being told ,we are waiting on confirmation.

That seems completely ridiculous, not that I'm a believer in 1080 at all but surly there's a better time.

The new minister for hunting should be able to sort that out

I just went on the Haast Roar block late allocation which opened at 9am. Was logged in at 9am sharp and by 9.09 all blocks were taken lol.

I wonder how many of those people snapped one up and then went “ok where is it and how do I get there”
