    If you are flying in and establishing a base camp to hunt from then I would look at taking a mountain radio. We always take one when hunting this way. Looked into getting a Sat phone, but the cost seemed a bit excessive, unless you are going into a Wap block etc where you are carrying everything on your back so weight becomes an important driver.
    If it's not a first round hit you need to practice more

    I have a watch that give air pressure. It provides that rate of change over periods. increasing pressure, more settled weather, decreasing pressure, time to head home of for a hut.

    Need to take into account your elevation change too though..........
