    Prevalent wind is down stream due to catabatics.
    Don't camp at the upstream location of the clearing.

    the deer still there...thats here they live,they got nowhere else to go.....I actually ENJOY bush stalking on a wet day. if the sun pokes out ,those riverbed clearings will be a magnet for cold and wet deer.
