He won't be doin it much longer so better make the most of it.
He usually goes pretty late so could do a trip somewhere else first but need to see how much time i can get off.

This will be my first Roar in over 3 years (Due to travelling overseas, moving jobs, getting married) so I haved booked myself an extended easter weekend with my brother in Marlborough at one of my old haunts. Should be an epic trip, it will be his first roar so he is pumped!
Already looking at maps, discussing tactics and trying to get some half decent level of fitness up to tackle those big hills.
Now if I could only finish the load development for my 7mm RM...
Hunting is not a hobby.....its an addiction
Will have a few private blocks to visit for a bit of fun, cruisey day hunts, and have a Haast Block.
I'm drawn to the mountains and the bush, it's where life is clear, where the world makes the most sense.
Ureweras
It was quiet in there 2nd week of April last roar though shot a stag that I never heard till it bolted from 3m and it showed no sign of been ready to mate .We were in Fiordland last year and it was quiet in the Urewearas the year before that.
Looking at going mid April and see if they are getting vocal then
Living out of a hut on the old mans property and hunting every morning before work.
Nothing makes you feel more alive than chasing a red stags roar echoing through the mountains!
