I'll look at some places that look hopeful close to home. If I locate a stag I'll try to steal one of his harem which will be nearby. Or a spiker. Meat is my goal, but if I get a stag the dog can have the antlers for a chew toy.
My daughter wants some for her door but mum said no. Lol.

Identify your target beyond all doubt because you never miss (right?) and I'll be missed.

Get well soon mate. Keep up the pills & ointment as my old mate used to say.

No plans for me this year, giving the Roar a miss.

Got a fly trip planned for 4 days middle of March for 4 days . Will do an overnighter over easter with my boy . Then weekend after it’s the annual kids roar trip into a private block for 2 nights . Then it’ll be couple of nights late April for a fallow . She’s gonna be busy but you just gotta do it while ya can . Here’s a pic of the fallow hunter and I got last weekend … he was stoked .. Name: 7541E4F6-3C83-4F2B-9E92-04B31867A2E2.jpeg

Yeah pretty gutted too. There goes my easy overnighter up Boyd or Cascade on way back from Milford visit. Wasn’t expecting much anyway as apparently choppered pretty hard.

Rock, Do you know if water taxi will drop into Mount Kid area?

My Arthur and the Cobb catchments getting the green rain too right at the start of the roar, timing is everything it seems. Talked to 3 people I know who are trapping as part of the friends of Flora group and stoat numbers are booming despite the ongoing trapping program for Whio protection.

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Been chasing Sika for a few years now and been successful, so switching focus back to the reds and hopefully a Fallow Buck.

Sit at home with a 10 week old baby wondering what the heck I'm doing and when I'll be able to start taking them with me into the hills to escape the rat race.

Next 18 months is probably a write off I reckon.
