    Of course you can see the barrel /suppressor with a dot sight, but it isn't a problem, it's just another item in your peripheral vision. Don't really understand why anyone considers it an issue

    years ago when I FIRST SAW A LEUPOLD 1x4 mounted low on a BLR and could see the barrel in bottom 1/4 of scope...it was love at first sight...pun intended...it gives you the shotgun quick point thing....I do not even notice it ...but my mind does and it makes for quick pointing onto target.

    Got one on my 308. easy to use and fast to get on target.
    Only drawback is lack of magnification.

    I use a Bushnell trs25 on my 44. Bloody impressed with it and makes shooting in the bail a lot easier. My rifle fell off the bonnet of my truck onto the road directly onto the scope and it still held zero after that!
