I don't suppose you have a test result yet?
Would be great if you could share the results here.

Not sure if anyone sees those vids of the chopper crew in Australia smoking the mobs of pigs with a 308. Am sure the Aussies will think a bit of lead wont go amiss considering their mining industry.

Back when I was a young fella using air rifles all the time I used to carry my lead pellets in my mouth as it was easier to get them than in me pocket. Can’t say it was a good practice to do this but still alive.

What about mowing lawns and spilling petrol as you filled up. Fumes? Good for you.

No, they are classified as carcinogenic. Don't recall the class tho?

Didnt petrol used to have lead in it to stop engines knocking, and it was banned cos of lead poisoning?
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing, and right-doing, there is a field. I will meet you there.

Don't know about Average-Lad but due to a potential heart problem I'm currently experiencing I've had blood tests carried out testing for all sorts of things including heavy metals, the result of which was negative. In fact everything they tested for was o.k. apart from slightly high HDL Cholesterol result. So as previously stated, as someone who regularly eats game (60+ years) shot with projectiles containing lead I have no qualms about possible lead ingestion due to my diet. Two meat samples I contributed to a study mentioned previously both tested negative for lead. I'm reasonably careful to avoid obvious shot damaged meat, game-birds hard to avoid lead. Last meat ( 30 kgs ) I donated to food-bank I got x-rayed by local friendly vet, no lead showed up. So until I'm asked to or it becomes mandatory to use copper bullets I'll continue using lead jacketed bullets in all probability. And before anyone gets uppity about it the food bank knows the source of meat and informs their clients the same, personal choice of recipient whether to consume meat or not.

Banned to stop the introduction of lead into the atmosphere, toxicity to humans was one reason but the other main driver was to help in the fight against global warming and that's gone swimmingly hasn't it. I didn't have much of a problem with the leaded fuel ban. Locally you could see the first few meters of roadside crops didn't do well beside busy main roads, maybe it was the lead effect. Nowadays who knows what the effect would be, there's nothing but fecking grapes grown here and they aren't within 10-15m of the road.

This is the result I would expect. Very little lead ends up in the blood stream from ingesting it. Vapours when casting with poor ventilation especially doing it regularly would be another matter.

I sometimes still see people doing that. But they are usually at an age they won't lose much life expectancy anymore.
Up to 1960 lead water pipes were used in homes in the Netherlands. People would cook and drink from that, for years and years.

It's feutus and young children that are mainly at risk. For adults the risk is much lower.

People read an inaccurate negative report on the www, don't understand it, then repeat it as if it's gospel. Then ten more read it, repeat it, blah blah, blah.
