Your tahr hunt after the control operation?

Two weeks ago got back after a 3 day east coast tahr hunt in a area that we have been to a few times before, we would normally see 100 plus tahr mostly nannies and kids. This time however we only saw about 40 over the 3 days but half were bulls. Has anyone noticed a big drop on numbers in the real world since the cull? 40 was heaps for us to keep busy, but with a valley full of people it might be a bit different

Everyone I've talked to said they hardly noticed a drop in numbers even in the areas that have had a hammering

    Thumbs up Jollie River

I looked at the tahr survey numbers trying to find a spot with foot access East Coast. Jolley River true left. Mount Catherine seemed to have good numbers up high when the survey was done last winter. I hunted hard for 2 days, Aug 21 and 22, climbed up to knee deep snow and saw no tracks or sign, only hares and some really long trout in a small channel. Some sheep tracks in the riverbed.

That's interesting about the jollie, I know about 2 years ago numbers up there were very healthy.
