    Greetings ebf,
Thanks for pointing that out, not. I had to have a look at Wilson's web site. 5 Ruger no 1 rifles! I don't think I have ever seen that many in the same place in NZ. After tea and a lie down I will probably recover.
    Regards Grandpamac.

    Greetings MB,
None of the rifles in this thread are actually needed in the narrower interpretation of the word but, as is often pointed out, need has little if anything to do with it.
    Regards Grandpamac.

It's a fun place to visit. I regularly stop in and fondle the No 1's, haha. The 257 Bob is a nice example of the full wood version.

Unfortunately they don't seem to have the Safari models in stock on a regular basis. A friend of mine up the road here has one in 375 H&H, I'd love to pry it away from him.

A Model 1903 6.5x54 Mannlicher Shoenauer. Actually a fully wooded Mannlicher Shoenauer in any caliber would do me!!

Left handed bolt action. 5 shot detachable magazine chambered for a cartridge capable of taking big game to 500 yards and equipped with a 2-15x 50 dual function illuminated reticule/thermal scope. Total package would weigh around 2kgs ready to go and at the push of a button it would shrink to pocket size. It would also have the ability to locate game and carry it out for me once shot and butchered. If anyone has one let me know.
