    Hey tetawa
Not to sure if this was directed at me but the point of this thread was to see what other people thought. I was in no way inclining that people that go pig hunting are cruel i was simply stating it wasnt quite the type of hunting for me and wanted to see what others thought. If you wanna go pig hunting go hard i dont have a problem.

And yes 1080 can f off somewhere else

There is definitely skill involved alot of dudes spend a large chunk of their spare time training up and breading their dogs to get them how they want them to preform. My old man and multiple relatives and family friends have gone through generations of dogs, over the course of their hunting 'career'. Its no surprise the dogs killed a pig weighing in at 15 lb, alot of the time when the pork gets a bit chewed up or the dogs get a bit beat up, its due to you not getting there quick enough or them bitting off more then they can chew lol (pr just running into one willey bastard) if you get there quick and sort things out quick its almost a surgical affair. And your dogs may be able to catch a pig and hold it for a while but I'm yet to see them flip one over and poke it in the heart. I grew up eating wild pork as a staple and Im yet to fall victim to sickness derived from 'bone taint'. In the end the dogs love it and its a hell of a rush.

Pig numbers NEED to managed in a lot of places. They are keen breeders and can be major pests.

Using dogs is probably the 3rd best method of doing so in my experience. After 1) poisoning, and 2) using a helicopter as transport and shotguns/buckshot with thermal imagery scope as weapons of choice

And some pig hunters think they need to farm them to keep their sport going! That really fucking annoys me!

Yup. Hence our stance on shooting/poisoning/culling with helicopter. The properties I've used these methods on allow a number of pig hunters on to hunt all year. If they aren't doing their job properly ie controlling pig numbers they are told. And seeing a chopper waiting on the ground when they arrive for a weekend hunt soon gets the message across too!

If you want to pursue it the gay dating apps or clubs would probably be a good start as that's who uses it mostly

I wouldn't claim to know to much about what the gays do.

You obviously dont know many people that use cyanide then 'res'. We all carried capsules of Amyl Nitrite usually in a little tin as an antidote for cyanide Poisoning.

I don't know whether they would save you from a good dose of Cyanide poisoning but it might make you feel good for a few second before the bell was finally rung.

O I know of that use, carried it for that back in the day but my employer kept tabs on all the caps so never got to experiment.

A gay mate on the other hand raves about the stuff-a bit touch info mostly!

He wasn't a possum trapper though surely, spare us that. With easy access to Amyl Nitrite he would be a formidable creature to meet in the bush.
