The Savage and Marlin offerings are not bad (especially the heavy barrel ones) but some people have feeding issues.

Unless you are particularly set on 22wmr I'd go for 17hmr instead, it's the same price to feed but typically gives you better accuracy and shoots flatter and bucks the wind better.
What ever round you go for and go for a CZ.
Nice rifles but I wouldn't be happy with the standard trigger in them.

I have 2 and both triggers were pretty average out of the box, kinda heavy and creepy so bought a Yo Dave trigger kit (18USD) and was able to do both rifles with the one kit.

Made a huge difference to both triggers, no creep what so ever and mich lighter at a guess down to about 2lbs but still had 2 lighter I could've gone.

So yeah the Yo Dave kit is a must.

Yep was pretty good spot lit hares around the Himitangi radio station it belonged to the manager at the time.
I had a Stirling .22 semi years ago that was bloody good.
Only sold as when you had kids using it scared the shit out of me, after they had whacked a rabbit in their excitement forgot they had one up the spout.
But when going for numbers it was good.
Fed anything all 15 from the mag.
Mostly used issued stuff from the Waipa county from memory they did 5 x .22 or 1 shotgun round per tail.

I have always liked the 22wmr and while Ive had a real soft spot for a 17hmr, I am waiting to see if the 17wsm ever gets a bit more likely not to die if I went the 17 cal route.
