Marty Henry's post gets my vote.

The new subs aren't providing enough grunt to push the bolt back. Try a packet of a super sonic round and see if it still does it.

Also a full strip and clean.

Please excuse spelling, as finger speed is sometimes behind brain spped........ Or maybe the other wayy.....

That is what it looks like from the photo.

He uses this ammo 90% of the time and never had any problems with it. But will try super sonic - fingers crossed!

If it's Winchester subs then try CCI subs, Winchester seem to be a bit hit and miss in mine.

With the Marlin semiautos stick to CCI for best cycling, keep the action clean, and run them almost dry of oil - just one drop on bolt. Here's some tips on maintenance:

Marlin semiauto .22 setup, servicing and parts

Yep, this is the advise I have always followed with mine. My Marlin has operated perfectly with CCI subs from day one and have I never run anything else seriously thru it. CCI is the most accurate (like stunning) ammo in mine. Never bothered with HV and never had cycling issues with CCI Subs or SV.

Has he tried the Stinger again?
Also does the bolt latch in the open/back position after the last round in the mag is fired?

He's dropped it off to the gunsmith so I'll guess we'll find out what the issue was. Will share on here once I know.

For now he's gone and bought a new gun lol males...

works for motorbikes , cars and boats too.
    No!

Should I get a new firearm today? Does today end in a 'y'? If the answer to either quesfion is 'yes' then the answer to both is 'yes'.
