I can't think of anything that would make it worth twice as much as a decent Ruger 22.

If you have the CZ in a centrefire already, the conversion kit at around $900 is a reasonable buy. I don't think I'd pay $1500 for a standalone gun version.

Might as well buy the Shadow and buy a whole dedicated CZ Kadet for the difference in price between the conversion kit and the full pistol. I have the SP01 Shadow and have been looking into a .22 kit but I think I'll just save a bit longer and get the complete Kadet pistol.

Cheapest price I could find for the Kadet conversion was $995 but out of stock and $1399 for the pistol.

Best .22 for the money is the Ruger 22/45 I am saving up for Lite at $849 has adjustable sights fluted barrel and threaded for a suppressor and the mag release is in the right place, if that's too spendy the standard models start at around $600 at Serious shooters and Reloaders may have to order one, a friend of mine bought the stainless hunter model it's more than accurate enough for 100m silhouette shooting. There is no minimum length, there is a minimum barrel length (101mm) specified in the letter of understanding between police and pnz, with exceptions, how that is applied seems to vary and how legally binding it is seems dubious
