    Now there's a can of worms.... My 30cal gunworks reduces noise more than my 3 baffle dpt 22 cal. It's all about volume to capture escaping gases

    If the plastic slip on you have is the same as mine (larger under barrel jobbie), no it wont be.
    There are no baffles in there-don't ask me how I know this-so its only volume. The couple of silencers I've bought and made are quite a bit quieter.
    Their main benefit is that you don't have to have your barrel threaded but they are quite bulky.
    I got sick of the hose clamp and having to undo it all the way to clear the front sight when taking it on/off and just used insulation tape.
    less chance of scratching the barrel with the clamp and worked well-agricultural I know but I tried it and was happy with it.
