Nothing against Creedmoor but I would go for 6.5x47 if it were me. One of the factors often quoted in the .260 vs Creedmoor debate is that the Creed case is shorter. If that’s important, the 6.5x47 is shorter than the Creedmoor. Better brass, small rifle primers and higher pressures. It was also specifically designed as a match cartridge, just like the Creedmoor, so can do everything the Creedmoor can.

That said, if running factory ammo the Creedmoor wins every time.

Lapua brass is available for CM in both SRP and LRP to now. I too liked the idea of the x47L case for the M7, but when the 700 takeoff barrel came up in 6.5 Creed, it was a no brainer for me, a simple screw-on job done.

As stated before the creedmoor will fit a model 7better than a 260 .Plus there is a lot more option in factory ammo for the creedmoor .See my post on the reloading forum the factory ammo is pretty good heres the hornady 140 eld mName: 124995106_1583130161872124_313268775446463691_n.jpg

Creedmoor if you just want to go hunting, factory ammo works great.
Might aswell just go 6.5x284 over .260 if you want more performance and are handloading
