    30 Cal suppressor for .223?

Hi all, about to buy a can for the AR. Is anyone here shooting .223 through a 30 Cal can? Is there much noise increase?

Toying with the idea of running a single 30 Cal waitaki for both calibres. Cheers

    I do that.

I run a gun works overbarrel model. Both my .223 and .308 are T3s so fit was all good.

Not sure I'd run it on my AR. Mine has a dedicated suppressor

Yeah not a problem on a bolt gun, might need a little tinkering with the gas block on a semi for cycling, but noise wise will be good az.

I run a 30 cal over barrel can on the 223 bolt gun sweet as. No real noise difference that I can hear anyway.
    Ya can't park there mate.

    Yep, had and ASE SL5 30 cal on a .223 and .243.

    Was excellent on both.

I ran a 30cal suppressor on a 223, seemed to work fine though I had no comparison. The extra internal volume is probably a good thing. It was on a bolt gun .

Any way you can reduce the exit hole diameter, to more closely approximate the .223, would reduce the muzzle bang. But the larger volume of the .308 suppressor will likely already compensated for that deficiency regardless.

Run a 30 cal on my 10/22 every now and again, it works. As others have said I think the internal volume does wonders

About to try a 30 cal suppressor on 6.5 mm I assume a slight increase in noise, probably most noticeable forward of the muzzle. Don't intent to be there anyway so no worries.

Will work fine and you likely won't notice any difference compared to a dedicated 223 can. I run Dpt .30 cans and Sonic 45 .30 cans on my AR and the sonic definitely seems to be quieter on the 223 so some of it may come down to suppressor design.
Only problem with the semi will be extra gas back into the bcg which i find makes things louder and can add recoil to the buffer so an adjustable gas block is invaluable. Use the money you save on the extra suppressor and buy one
