    Tongue in cheek comment here. As an older guy, I can’t understand why shooters want to dick round with unusual calibres. Perhaps it’s ‘because I can’. Let history do the proving for you. My Tikka 6.5x55 produces one ragged hole at 100m and will happily gong at 850m. The Swedes got it right with this calibre.

    Probably the same reason people dick around with unusual cars or whatever

    @phillipo my vote was if you want easy to do easy resale 6.5x55 wanna play games pay hundys for brass, but have amazing fun doing it and reach out long range and get to 3000 fps I'd go 6.5 PRC

    OR - you could start with a fast twist 6.5 and rechamber to this later? kinda leaves you with options too...

    I Think @Doubleshot went to this about a year ago - would be worth bending his ear offline about his experiences - I know he was chasing brass and dies for a while.
