Its always the wrong question...
The questions to ask are..
Specific projectile choice and weight
Desired speed at which pushed
Utility that the cartridge brings specifically (ie action length, weight of rifle, choice of rifle etc)
Intended normal use parameters ( target species, environment Bush/open tops/ big game small game/varmint etc etc)
These are interrelated questions, the answers inform each other question...
I have reached the conclusion that I always start with the projectile/ammo choice, then go to desired speed based on functionality for purpose. The rest falls into place more easily.
Thus asking the question is the 6.5 Creed hunting performance OK? is like asking how long is a piece of string...
