    The reason hornady made the 5.5 prc was to have a 6.5saum type chambering in sammi. So they could sell factory ammo and factory guns. All the hot 6.5's have to many variants to not cause issues.

    Sako carbonlight in 6.5PRC would be perfect... In my mind anyway.

    The only reason I don't see the point is that you could buy a Finnlight and an aftermarket carbon fibre stock and save heaps of dollars!

    Yes very true, forgive me. I assumed you were just referring to Carbonlights in general. But I am sure Sako won't be far away from releasing them and the rest of their line in the PRC!

    Is anyone running 6.5 PRCs with shortened barrels and factory ammunition?

    I don't reload and am wondering how the factory ammo performs in say a 20 inch barrel?

    300wsm probably has a bit too much boot for me and there isnt a good offering of factory 7mm short action magnums.

    I currently shoot a 18" 308 and 26" 7mm rem mag but would be nice to find an in between that can do it all out to 500m
