My guess would be the ammo is just 1 moa ammo, you could try some hornady match ammo to see if that shoots any better.

Not a super lite but my standard lite 260 wouldn't show much in the way of stringing even over a 10 shot string, would shoot well under .5moa with hand loads.
Barrel fluting can induce stresses into the barrel, or expose existing stresses in the barrel that occur after the barrel starts heating up.
Yeah mate I had a tikka 260 that shot very well with 123gr amax a few years ago. Punch myself alot for selling it. I will see how some decent match ammo shoots. Cheers.

For what its worth, i have 2x t3 superlite 6.5 creed, one at 18 inches and my partners one at 16 both with dpt supressors. neither of them would shoot the whitetail ammo well, but they both do consistent 1/2 inch 3 shot groups at 100m with hornady precision hunter factory ammo. no waiting between shots.

Yip I hand load that 129 in a creed it’s devastating on animals, Norma factory ammo is often finicky see if you can find a box of the match mate and if you handload theirs plenty of 6.5 around at present good luck keep us posted

Ive never been a huge fan of this, i find breaking position from the rifle can increase chances of the group opening up even further, i do all my load testing now with rounds fed from the magazine. Everything needs to be the same for valid testing

For what it's worth. A mate's standard T3 Creedmoor sprays the Norma Scirocco all over the show (+2 inch groups), but shoots Hornady Superformance 129 SSTs well under an inch.

Awesome thanks for the input. I'll try some better quality ammo and see how she goes. Really like the wee caliber. Kills well.

Shit is that right? You would think norma ammo would be pretty good for the price of it. Might have to give the eldx and SSTs a hoon. Cheers for your feed back.

so your first two rounds kill the first two deer/thar/pigs/chammy and the third one still near enough to point of aim to kill the third one as well out to 300 yards...and the problem is????
yes understand frustration if shooting at paper...if you dont like .257s suggestion..... shoot 2 leave it along for 5 minutes shoot another 2 wait five shoot 3rd lot of two......
what this is doing is telling you positively its barrel heat and nothing else..if it will CONSISTANTLY poke first 2 into tight cluster.... no problem... unless you shooting in matches or trying to cull mobs at long range.

I dont see the problem.........shoot an animal with the first shot, bang, flop. Save the next 2 rounds for next time. Rinse and repeat.

Yeah I understand that. It's more I have a 3 month old tikka t3 superlight that should have a 3 shot moa guarantee. Was just interested to see how other super lights where reacting to heat. I've shot a few animals with it. But I would also like to do abit of target shooting as well. Cheers.

There are also two small opposing contact bedding points (plastic knubs) in the barrel channel forward a few centimetres of the recoil lug section. Sometimes Tikka T3/T3x's shoot better with these removed making the barrel fully free floating. Be careful though because removing them will void your warranty and you don't want to deal with Beretta re. warranties if you can help it.

Let us know how you go. My as yet unfired 6.5CM will be having the 130gr norma scirocco through it first, and would be good to hear what your rifle likes. The Hornady big game 147gr was my next cab of the rank

Identify your target beyond all doubt because you never miss (right?) and I'll be missed.
