    7.62x39 can

    have just picked up one of those cheap bolt action Beasley bush ranger 7.62's off me old mate northdude thanks bud

    I will be on the look out for cheap second hand can no rush in-fact probably not till after xmas now

    I do have a question though so I know when I do buy
    will a 30cal can work as I know 308,30-06etc are .308 while 7.62x39 is .311 or .312 so is it a 30cal can I need to look out for or different????

    Mine (on a x39) is a standard .30 gunworks jobbie. If it can smell that extra thou on the way through, there are other issues

    I have a hardy 30cal suppressor and asked this very question of the HRE team. The reply was no worries go for it!

    No will get it shortened and threaded once i get a can barrel is very light so 1/2x20 may be the only option anyway

    you dont need to be so "crude" the filters are threaded so good to go......
    and for what its worth my norinco wears a gunworks spartan...the stock had crack for first couple of inches so we got robbie to whack stock off there and fit can to fit close to it,cutting barrel accordingly..it is now slightly shorter with can fitted than it was bare. absolutely awesome to carry in the tight bush now...and get a magazine cut down to fit 3 rounds while you at it....makes for much better handling. Ive only used the 5 shot on one occasion (spotlighting wallabies) you dont need more than 4 and will appreciate the lack of box jutting out.

    Can't remember the thread on mine, but it's bigger than 1/2".

    Ive got a .303 ,7.62x39 and .223(latter both norincos)and all share one .30cal can (budget conscious casue wifeys min of finance).no probs so far.
